  • Austin Adventures, Part...8?

Alright, just to prove that I'm not a one-and-done type poster, here's another one for you all...

Friday night, Melissa came into town.  I had this sweet ass $25 coupon for McCormick and Schmick's (I had already used it before, but I was itching to use it again)...it enabled us to get a 1 lb. lobster.  For free.    Incidentally, lobster has quickly risen to the top of my list of favorite foods.  I'm not sure if it was because it was free, or if it was because of the taste.  A combination of both, I'm sure.  We also got the idea to go restaurant hopping (sounds pretty bad, I know, but it was sooo good...).  Our original plan was to do an appetizer at one place, a main course at another, and dessert at a third.  In our defense, we didn't quite get that far...   We had to call it a night pretty early, since Melissa had to be at the airport early the next day, which brings me to...

Saturday's Snow Patrol concert.  I have to admit, I wasn't a big fan of about half of their new album.  I mean, I would listen to the songs if they were playing, but I wouldn't really be into it.  Not true of the concert.  Their live versions are definitely better than their album versions.  For all their songs.  It's too bad there were stupid hicks in the audience heckling the band.

Sunday was considerably less eventful, mostly because of stupid Dailylight Savings Time.  I woke up and saw that it was already past 11...boo.  I was able to catch dim sum with John and Joanna before I left Austin though.  Tasty.

Pretty tame weekend, I guess.  Hmmm, my washer is making some rather loud noises and is causing the windows in my room to shake...which is pretty impressive, considering the washer is located in a separate shed in the backyard.  I should probably go check on it.

    Goodbye.

  • Why Yes, I *AM* Still Alive

So I guess it's been awhile (read: two and a half months) since I've updated.  And yet, thanks to the wonders of SiteMeter, I see that some of you are still dedicated enough to keep checking for updates.  Well, your patience has been rewarded.  I'm back!  Though honestly,  I haven't been doing very much.  Disappointing, huh?  I do still have my job, which is good.  I like getting a paycheck.  I have also found that you score serious points with girls when you tell them you do cervical cancer research.     However, with each day that passes, the feeling that they're getting ready to can me grows stronger.  Well, not just me.  Everyone.  I'll just have to wait it out and see, I guess.

Oh, for you Austinites that read this, I'll be in town this weekend for the Snow Patrol concert.  Lets go play.

I would write more, but it's off to the gym.  Perhaps later...
